Kenneth B. Jensen

1950 – 2022

For forty years, in between raising six children and working as a Ph.D.’ed petrochemical process engineer, Kenneth B. Jensen composed music.  His songs began as a brief melody or a line of lyrics that he developed into a full composition with stirring piano accompaniment. He focused his music on the subjects vitally important to him—the sacred and the patriotic.

Kenneth learned to play the piano from his mother, an excellent pianist. She accompanied his father who often sang in church and at special occasions. Kenneth’s family continues the tradition of music, his wife Laurie and his children and their spouses love music and singing.  His eleven+ grandchildren will soon be joining in.

Kenneth served as an LDS Church bishop and on his Stake High Council in Houston, Texas. He was also politically active, having served as a Republican precinct chairman and an election judge. He supported the ideas of the Declaration of Independence and its vehicle of execution—the Constitution of the United States.

Enjoy his songs of faith and freedom.
